2015 —

Smart Citizen Kit

FabLab Barcelona / IaaC

A low–cost environmental sensing kit, which lets people measure their local environmental data, such as humidity, noise and air pollution.

A revamp for the SCK 1.5 is in development, including brand, data visualisation, software and hardware

Democratising access to environmental data

The kit streams data over WiFi to SmartCitizen.me, an open platform where data from kits is shared, creating a crowdsourced map of environmental data from cities around the world.



Teaching the skills needed for smarter citizenship

Over the course of 2016-2018 I planned and led workshops, teaching data literacy, sensemaking and the design of interactive public interventions, to non-technical participants, citizens concerned with pressing environmental issues.

2011 — 2015

Inside Abbey Road

Stinkdigital

We partnered with Google to create an interactive experience that showcases Abbey Road’s incredible history, the legendary stories of the artists and engineers who continue to break new ground in sound recording today.

Explore the world’s most legendary recording studio. Discover the stories of the studio, the reocrding artists, songs and much more through an immersive free roam experience.

An intense year-long production

All hands on deck as I was responsible from pitch to art direction, design, content plan, flow, shoot, prototype, correct & grade.. creative direction.


The studio was depth scanned, point clouds were converted into 3D meshes. Photographic panoramas were then mapped to the mesh.

The site was created from more than 150 different 360-degree photospheres, and houses over three hours of geo-located and contextual content including in-line videos and images, interactive gadgets, and 360 degree videos.

2014 —

Revolutions in Sound

RedBullMusicAcademy

Google+ & Red Bull Music Academy collaborated to develop an experience where people could reminisce about the glory days of clubbing and galvanise current & new clubbers to discover music and club nights.

A living archive of UK club culture.


A Journey through APIs

The whole site was built by cross referencing multitple music APIs and surfacing the cleanest data, from YouTube, LastFM, Soundcloud, as well as Google’s Knowledge graph.

We pulled hundreds of thousands of muscial data entities, such as artists, venues, clubnights, tracks and photos and cross referenced them, so that any point you could see the venues, clubnights and tracks associated with your favorite artists.


Device agnostic, working seamlessly on desktop, mobile and everything in between.











A user-led experience

The concept of the site is for music fans to share their glory days. Post club photos, videos, tag their favourite tracks, retrospectively check in to legendary club nights. As such a whole system for content contribution and moderation was designed and built.

2015 —

Warp.net

Stinkdigital

The relaunch of Warp.net adapts the label’s online presence for today’s globally connected audience. It was the first update to the site since 2009, and includes news and information about Warp artists, catalogue, releases, and events.

After pitching, I went through a deep UX dive and an initial round of design explorations.



Exploration of bespoke page layouts that adapt to meet the unique needs of each artist, and encourage exploration of Warp’s extensive catalogue.

In the end, a brutally simple experience…

2015 —

2Pax

Smalleats

2PAx is a restaurant management system. It provides a suite of tools to optimise down time for tables, whether it is by instantly serving tables near you at a very short notice., or just simple table management.

I have been consulting on UX & UI as well as branding.

The booking experience revolves around the dial. With a couple of swipes and a tap, you can book a shortnotice restaurant near you, effortlessly







The restaurant dashboard also helps maximise table usage through machine learning and predictive algrotithms

















Taking the experience beyond the phone

From actionable printed reports, to booking widget embeds and microsites.

Gorillaz

To commemorate the launch of the Gorillaz new album, we collaborated with T-Mobile to create a window across two worlds. The physical and the world of the Gorillaz.
